Birdiecard

A minimalist golf scorecard designed to celebrate birdies

Birdiecard is a lightweight golf scorecard app built to make tracking a round fast and effortless. Instead of adding GPS, swing analytics, or complex data layers, the app focuses on the core experience of golf: recording scores quickly and staying present in the game.

Players can track scores for up to four golfers, review round summaries, and monitor performance over time. The interface is intentionally simple so golfers can log a hole in seconds and return their attention to the next shot.

Birdiecard strips digital scoring back to its essentials—fast, clean, and intuitive.

Building the Brand

Alongside designing the product, I created the Birdiecard brand identity to reflect the emotional side of golf: optimism, momentum, and the pursuit of birdies.

The logo uses a fluid script wordmark, inspired by the gesture of signing a scorecard at the end of a round. The continuous stroke and sweeping forms echo the motion and rhythm of a golf swing, giving the brand a sense of movement and personality.

Rather than feeling corporate or technical, the identity aims to feel human and personal, reinforcing the idea that Birdiecard is simply a companion to the round—not something that distracts from it.

The color palette and typography keep the visual language clean and modern, allowing the expressive wordmark to remain the focal point of the brand.

Concept

At the heart of Birdiecard is a simple idea:

Golf is about chasing birdies, not counting bogeys.

That philosophy informed both the product and the brand—creating a scorecard that celebrates great moments in the round rather than overwhelming players with data.
